Hi, I’m Ronda-El, and my cricuts are all a glow as I am so excited to bring you some of the latest rules discussions around undefined
Here we go…
Rule Question 1
What happens if a character or monster is standing in a doorway when a door is closed by a scenario effect? How does this relate to trap damage and the rules for displacing figures?
Rulesplainer 1
If a scenario causes a door to close and there is a figure (character or monster) on that hex, the figure suffers trap damage and is then moved to the nearest unoccupied space. This matches the way the game handles a figure losing flying status while on an obstacle. This rule is not directly spelled out in the base rulebook but has been confirmed by the designer and included in the official FAQ. Closing doors is rare and only happens by specific scenario effects, not through normal play.

Rule Question 2
If there is a “double door”—two door tokens placed next to each other—does opening one door automatically open the other, or do they need to be opened separately?
Rulesplainer 2
Each door token in a “double door” setup must be opened individually, unless the specific scenario text says otherwise. When you open one door by entering its hex, only that door opens. The second door remains closed unless a character moves onto it (or scenario instructions say to open it). Both doors do not have to be opened at the same time for characters to move through; just one open door allows passage. Some scenarios may instruct you to open both, but by default this is not the rule.

Rule Question 3
Can invisible characters block flying or jumping monsters from passing through doorways? How do obstacles, invisible figures, and line of sight interact for movement and attacks?
Rulesplainer 3
Invisible characters are treated as obstacles by monsters. However, flying and jumping monsters can fly or jump over obstacles (including invisible characters) without being blocked. Only non-flying, non-jumping monsters are stopped by obstacles in doorways. For attacks, only walls and closed doors block line of sight; obstacles (including invisible characters) do not block line of sight or ranged attacks. Ranged attackers can shoot past an invisible character just as they would shoot past an obstacle. Invisible figures cannot be targeted, but do not prevent others from being targeted or attacked.
